December Newsletter: Bring on the Schmaltz!

Happy Holidays from New Englanders in Southern California.

I love being home for the holidays. And I am more thankful than ever that I have so many people in my life who make me feel at home wherever I go.

Thank you for your support this year. It’s been a joy to connect with you all and I look forward with great hope and excitement for 2023!

love, Suzanne

Spirited puts a fun and uplifting spin on A Christmas Carol, with self-referential, heartfelt humor. There’s singing, dancing, comedy, and all the feels. I loved it.

PS Pasek and Paul will win the Oscar for Best Original Song for “Ripple.”

Bring on the schmaltz, it’s the holiday season!

My family loves this throwback variety show where Kacey Musgraves delivers old school Cher vibes. The set design, wardrobe, and music all really work.

By the way, there’s an album too.

A few years ago, I gave a signed copy of this cookbook as a Christmas gift to a certain Saved by the Bell fan who lives in my house.

It really paid off.

The recipes in Pull Up a Chair are outstanding - my favorites are the ginger chicken wings and the Greek yogurt pancakes.

A Legendary Christmas is a modern classic. I especially appreciate John Legend and Kelly Clarkson’s updated non-creepy version of the problematic classic duet Baby, It’s Cold Outside.
