GIving It a Whirl.

Things that are not dangerous:

  • Taking a flamenco dance class.

  • Going to see a musical by myself and making new friends at the theater.

  • Launching a new podcast.

  • Going to the ophthalmologist.

  • Starting a column on Medium.

  • GoKart Racing.

New things I did this month that made me slightly uncomfortable, and in some cases, absolutely terrified:

  • See previous list. (In case you’re wondering, going to the ophthalmologist fell into the “absolutely terrified” category. They touch eyeballs!)

In conclusion, I tried new things and survived. On to the next new thing…

love, Suzanne

I’m all for trying new things, but Thor-level adventures? No. It’s all completely bonkers, but I’m glad they made a show about it.

In The National Geographic docuseries Limitless, Chris Hemsworth explores the science behind longevity and wellness. Beautifully directed by Darren Aronofsky, the series is inspiring, informative, and as previously stated, completely bonkers.

If you need fully researched evidence to convince you to have more fun, then look no further. Living longer and enjoying life are symbiotic processes.

In The Power of Fun, Catherine Price makes a compelling case for good times, weaving storytelling with science, and practical advice.

Bottom line: Fun is good for us. Have more of it, and enjoy reading this book.

If you’ve ever lived in New England, it’s likely you’ve been inside a Market Basket. And if you’re a true New Englander, you’re probably pretty passionate about this bargain grocery store and its eclectic soundtrack.

There are many Market Basket-themed playlists on Spotify - and I enjoy them all. We came for the live-n’-kickin lobstahs, and we stayed for the music.
