It’s Still March.

Three years ago, when time slowed into reverse during early lockdown, I remember thinking: “It’s still March?”

Today, I find myself reveling “It’s still March!” because technically, it’s not too late to send a March newsletter.

What a paradigm shift.

Why the delay this month? Well, my desire to make this newsletter perfect or profound almost made me miss out on sending it entirely. The irony: “being in beta” and “letting go of perfectionism” were the topics I planned to write about this month. Adorable.

Maybe I’ll still share those thoughts with you in the future. But for now, here’s the March newsletter, just under the wire and nowhere near perfect.

As the saying goes: done is better than perfect.

love, Suzanne

This show made me laugh, cry, and yell at my TV. I became deeply invested in this messy group of therapists, who navigate grief, divorce, and illness with very little professionalism.

With a lovable cast that includes Harrison Ford, Jason Segel, and Jessica Williams, Shrinking is a heartwarming series about the big friends who show up when you’re feeling small.

This is a quick and satisfying dynamic piece by Shane O’Neill.

It really lifted me up to scroll through these joy-inducing images of people having just the best time ever.

More of this please!

In this docuseries podcast, acclaimed playwright Dan Kitrosser tells the story of Joseph Stalin’s only daughter, Svetlana Alliluyeva, as she defects to the United States and finds love in a Frank Lloyd Wright sex cult. … Wait… What?

Yep. It really happened.

Svetlana! Svetlana! is a crazy story and Kitrosser tells it with contagious enthusiasm and sparkling wit.

Produced by iHeart Podcasts and available wherever you listen to podcasts.

I have been having the best time talking to my guests on Character Development with Suzanne Nugent , available now on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

When I started this podcast, I told myself I would “try it” for 12 episodes. …And now I’ve just finished editing Episode 13. More to come!
